September 12, 2011 11:21am Beyond Bad! This is awesome work with a highly evolved sense of personal style. The photograph's composition creates a startling yet subtle juxtaposition of forces: Nature vs Culture, we have a very sophisticated wardrobe in a very natural/rural setting - Personal vs Impersonal, we have a seemingly personal pose from a seemingly earnest ingenue of a model yet this is composed with so much lead space and the photography's enframement seems to lend an almost clinical or martial aspect to the image, as if it were government issue standard type photo... and on and on. There is a complex visual grammar to your photography which disturbs and unsettles overly comfortable aesthetic and perhaps moral/ethical concerns. Your photography challenges too-comfortable notions about what is art and about eroticism's place in the culture. GREAT STUFF!!!
