The background scene has both a wistful and a mocking element, the vague out-of-focus shapes of the funfair attractions giving way to the even vaguer, yet threatening backdrop of the seemingly infinite sea. It seems to be implying, in conjunction with your haunted, reflective look, that society and its distractions are a flimsy, meaningless context that only serves to conceal something greater and mysterious. Beautifully performed, and the windswept look of your hair is a very dramatic touch, and enhances the sense of sublime forces at work.
