The sinuous vertical patterns of the branches and bark provide the perfect counterpoint to the vertically aligned, sinuous figure of the model, while the vertiginous angle, daring pose, and flimsy lingerie combine to generate a strong sense of vulnerability. Combined with the unforced elegance of her pose and the coy, indirect look, this creates a very flirtatious and somewhat challenging image, as if the viewer is being invited to follow her out (possibly to join her on the empty branch to the left, if he so dares ...). The bright natural light and colours are lovely, and lend a positively adorable atmosphere to the shot. The sheer black lingerie, which might seem overtly sensual in another context (or on a less subtle model), here seems like the proper uniform of a sweet and sexy innocent in her own little Eden ...
