wow, what an evocative image; I know your feeling as my best friend just lost his wife in childbirth, and now is feeling something like this for himself, his newborn son and 20month old daughter. This really strikes home. You've nailed it.

This is one of your finest pieces (so far). Before reading the caption, I was struck by both the beauty of the image and fear for the well being of two young girls walking on railroad tracks. The caption brings the story into full focus and I am still choking back a tear. This is all at once too cute and too sad.
