I had someone on My Space contact me. He gave me his rates, his photos were that desirable. He said he was going Pro in weeks. For some reason that video reminds me of him.

I have been asked several times on myspace by members to shoot pics of them for their myspace profiles,no other use, just for their stinkin profile.... Rediculous!

certainly can't deny that MySpace is changing the way we do business: previously, there was a time photographers didn't even have websites, nobody did, then that took off. now, with the crazy, growing trend that is "social networking", it doesn't surprise many that there is a rapidly growing number of professionals, individuals & companies, who are jumping on the MySpace wagon & setting up a, yep, you guessed it, "professional" page.

time will tell, however, how long the trend lasts. will also be interesting to see what trend replaces MySpace. have heard that, that's right, there are already entire concepts designed around dethroning MySpace, Facebook, and the other popular social networking media.

time shall tell ...

start to?

There are whole business models based on the concept.

I've done freelance for a couple of them... kinda fun really cause you get to make regular people look really good.

Some of my (high school) kids still contact me to do little shoots so they can have myspace or facebook photos... I'm fine with that.... more practice for me plus it's fun and relaxing cuz they dont have to be super wink

That was a funny video though lol

Well said Frank.

Myspace, just like any other online portfolio is a tool.
I use myspace to network with the bands I shoot and to get updates on events. I love the free advertising.
