Hi friends
As an artistic community builder and an artist , I get hurt when I see scams that get in the way of success.
Please share some common scams in the industry/tips to identify and stay away from scammers.
Thanks

Start with the basics:

and
https://www.modelmayhem.com/education/member-safety

always get references from other models. To find some models with firsthand experiences, look through their portfolio and see if they credited any models. Also click the "credited photos" link in the upper right of their portfolio (if they haven't disabled it) to see some models that posted their work.

Use the model-only forum to discuss.

Keep in mind, just because one or some models have a great experience, it does not mean you will. Likewise, just because a model had a bad experience, it does not mean you will. The more positive feedback you get means the probability you'll have a good shoot increases, and the more bad references you get back just means you might have the same problems.

Those are great inputs. I get the scams such as “enter your details here and the agent will reach out for you. The shoot can be done in your location too”. There is 99% guarantee that this “too good to be true “ stuff is a fraudulent check scam 😔
