To state the visually obvious, there is a “Newbie Forum” - where a member who is new to MM, can introduce themself and ask basic questions.

A to Q:
Simplify your browse filters down to a basic search. Artist type / Gender / Location. [For Wales I found 16 female models.]

Don’t restrict a search by ‘Logged In Within’ days. Models who may not be regular visitors to their sites, but who are still members will receive emails alerting them to activity on their pages, such as Pic Comments, Tags and Friend Requests. If they are dormant but still interested this should help them to come out of their period of inactivity to take a look.
