A toast to all models who endure many things just to get the 1 shot! Hot lights, make up, location, strenuous and uncomfortable positions and the critiques.
My recent shoot "Colorado snow and steel" Took my model (Brenda) and I on a mile hike through deep snow and up slippery slopes to an old mine for this shoot. All though I checked everything for safety, it was her body on the cold steel and in the snow.Even with the warm air temps the steel and snow of course were pretty cold to the skin.Through all of the 'hardships and adverse conditions' she still managed to keep it together just so I could get the shot!
HATS OFF TO ALL MODELS for helping us to get the shots we want and are happy with

well....Fred let me be the first to say Thank You.

I'd wouldnt hesitate to say thank you to the photogs who also endure along with us....There is one particular shoot I will never forget.....the Male model, Myself, as well as the Photog froze our butts off for a shoot. So hats off to those Photogs who also endure what their models endure.

Definitely...its a mutual team of heardworkers who get the absolute best pics, and sometimes that means going out of the way/norm to do it! Its nice to know photographers appreciate this, we models do too...

One model here has laid on a snow covered island in the nude after wading through a river still partially covered with ice, then had to wade back to shore.  Canoed five days for a shoot, not to mention having to eat my campfire cooking the whole time.  Climbed cliffs nude. Had rock slides come down on top of her.  (I'm talking rocks the size of microwave ovens)  Laid on a frozen lake nude.  Scaled to the top of rock outcrops in Arizona nude.  Endured cactus needles embedded in every possible portion of her hide.  Found herself covered in leaches after getting out of a swamp for me.  I can't even begin to count the cuts, scrapes gouges and bruises she has endured for the shot.

Only Graig and Honey don't do it quite this way.  Honey lays on a sleeping bag that Craig Photoshops out later.  e-string lays on the ice.
Blacklocks are friends of mine.  We had a gallery show this summer together in Minneapolis.

A tougher cookie you will not find.
I though I had killed her once.  She was hit in the head by a rock about the size of a basketball when the perch she was on at a cliff,  collapsed.  When I reached her she was bleeding and dazed, but alive.  I lost a few years off of my life that day, which I can't afford.

Hats off to you models!  Bravo!  Standing Ovation!  I've frozen a few models in weird locations.

We did this shot at 7am on a very cold morning!
