Active or NOT ... ?
I just logged in to respond to an email ....
While I was here I checked "latest activity" of models within 100 miles of my location. although they say active in the last TWO WEEKS .... almost every single image on every single models page is from 2012 I know I am no better posting the up to date photos that I take ( but in reality , I leave that to the models to use as they want on their sites ) Here is a question, would you bother to ever ask to work with a model that does not show CURRENT photos ? Would you even start up a conversation about working with a model without up to date photos ??? May 03 24 09:57 pm Link

There's no point in updating here, mostly because this site is irrelevant and clunky. The modern freelance model's portfolio is their instagram, twitter or facebook feed. Many keep a portfolio here to use for contacts but update their latest work on social media. You never have to delete any of your best work there just to keep current. May 04 24 11:46 am Link I’ve had models show up for shoots who look nothing like their photos, so I like to see a recent headshot and fuller body shot if possible. Some models I’ve worked with don’t have much of a modeling portfolio and just email me a couple recent photos which is fine with me even if they aren’t shots from a photo shoot. When it comes to MM models specifically, I find that if they haven’t done a shoot in several years, it’s unlikely they will now, even if they’ve been recently active. That said, it’s not a huge effort to get send off a few messages to such models.
I think it’s a bit different for photographers and models. A model’s look can change drastically in a few years, but it’s unlikely a photographer’s ability has gotten notably worse over the course of a few years.
