A reminder, since it has become an issue of late:

Threads concerning potentially controversial topics like politics, religion, etc. have a tendency to get out of hand and generate personal attacks and other incivility.   While legitimate discussion is encouraged, trolling, personal attacks, and threads that in the judgment of the moderators has devolved into boorish behavior may result in locked threads, hidden posts, and/or removal of forum privileges.   Discussing election security is fine; arguing about how politician X will rig the vote, not so much.  Keep it civil, keep it non-inflammatory, and don't feed the trolls.
