Two Indonesian men are stealing nude photos from Model Mayhem to invent accounts on Instagram and Twitter.

Me and Rebecca _S both have had photos stolen.

I reported this and the accounts have now been taken down FOREVER but the thieves might still set up more FAKE accounts pretending to be girls using photos stolen from MM.

If this happens to you get in touch and I'll help you.

If our MM community works together we can stop this theft and illegal use of our beautiful and hard worked for images.

Perpetrators are :  @PaulinaLugiana   and   @Freedom_lens

The first account is now set to private.  You won't be able to see what they post anymore.  Not surprised they went private.

Sorry that happened to you, but short of everyone taking all their images down to prevent “Theft” (which it isn’t, it’s copyright or license infringement) I actually am interested in how a community on MM or anywhere else “works together to prevent this”. To punish or otherwise retaliate is possible, but if it can be rendered on a screen over a network it can be copied bit for bit (it’s already in your computer cache at that point) and JavaScript download  blockers are super easy to defeat.  I believe MMs modest file size requirements are an attempt to limit usage of infringing downloaded images….but then again, they could just be because back in the 1840s when the code for this site was written data storage was a lot more expensive.

Again, sorry it happened to you…stolen glory sucks. Please don’t take this as antagonism…I am actually curious to see if there is some proactive steps that CAN be taken short of just deleting all internet facing images that I am not aware of.  My stuff is watermarked so I can chase down infringement…what more can be done?

This happens all of the time. One of my odd hobbies is linking photos across different platforms. Scammers have taken numerous photos from social networking sites to use on sites like Seeking, and other type dating sites. It really is rude.

This has been going on since the net was invented..... Models pictures are stolen ALL the time. Years ago a friend told me he was hooking up on line with this hot model....I went and looked at her Myspace page and it was ALL commercial images. Not a single casual one not a single image with friends, I told him she was fake but he says no no I even talked with her mom..... So I said tell her to send a casual picture. She couldn't cause it was not her.  It happens EVERY DAY and will continue to happen..  There's probably 4,000 fake accounts on Facebook if not more.

Way WAY more. Fake accounts are not just foreign scammers anymore, they are a commodity to be bought and sold.
FB and IG and who all knows what else wants to sell people followers on small or scammer business accounts. Sadly for some the followers adds legitimacy to the brands/idiots they want to sell to.

VICTORY - I spent a lot of time on getting this thief's Instagram account SUSPENDED. It's not just suspended but nuked as if it never existed. Thank you IG Mods and those who helped me including spies who screenshot progress of this FAKE accounts impersonation of me. I was blocked by the thief so was blind.

I feel good today and I did all this for this final liberating feeling and to show all MM models what can be done when their images are stolen.

Mine were mixed with faceless hardcore porn which suggested I was offering that service too. Not that there's anything wrong with hardcore but the girls in his posted videos looked like me from the back but they were NOT ME. This is defamation of sorts.

I also did it for my lovely photographers who spent good money, time and effort making art they could be proud of only to have it stolen and covered in slogans and advertising on Twitter.

I'm proud of our MM community. They have been good to me. THANK YOU ALL.

See my portfolio for more detailed evidence of the theft.

The perpetrator is @Freedom_lens who made the impersonation account with 8,800+ followers on Instagram under the handle paulinalugiana

8,800+ followers who followed to see the photos he used of me without permission or respect. Now thankfully GONE he is too lazy to build up anywhere near those numbers again nor repost the 104 posts he made.

GOODBYE THIEF

Unfortunately, nothing digital is ever safe from hackers. One of the downsides to digital. I had much better control over my images when I shot film.
