The cat was the photographer's who jumped into the middle of that shot just in the right place, I mean time...
Much to the photographer's disgruntlement.

I've seen quite a few pet bloopers.

This occurred a few years back, and I had the timing to capture it. I was working with a girl-next-door type and was trying to get her into a coy mood for the shot. Next thing I saw was a leashless dog running down toward her.

Here's the ste-up. (We never did get that image...)

Still makes me smile.

This was one of those, "Ya had to be there" situations. I would get about two shots in before the models pooch would run in frame. We tried putting him in a room but the shrill howl was worse than trying to deal with him. So why did I deal with it? She is my daughter-in-law, and I lover her... big_smile

This is definitely one of those ice breaker moments. I'm going to venture a guess that the shoot was a lot more relaxed and fun after that pet blooper. Plus, I absolutely love this image. It would have been spectacular if the cat had jumped just above your head and was facing the camera with that unique cat expression that only they can pull off.

I have brought Jasmin to 2 photoshoots. And every time she has done something silly. In both, she was in almost every shot, one way or another, as she refused to be more than a couple of feet away from me. So here are the few sillier ones from those shoots.

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/LadyDante/IMG_4090.jpg

First, she decides to give me a kiss. Only problem is, I'm wearing bright red lipstick and she ends up with a bright red nose.

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/LadyDante/IMG_4059.jpg

Then she decides it's time for a nap. And like Garfield, there was no waking her from it.

On the other shoot.

First she dicides it is just the most appropriate place to get playful and attack my hand. Martin of course just couldn't resist taking a shot.

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/LadyDante/IMG_0286.jpg

Then she decides getting cute and checking out whats going on. Yep, she actually walked over to me and climbed on my lap. Silly furball. I do like the shot though.

Sure, seemed like a blooper at the time,  since he's blocking the legs in a 'leg shot'...but
now i think he IS the photo.  I laughed out loud when someone commented that the dog should be cropped out....

A photographer I worked with used to bring his dog to most every shoot.  The dog kinda gets in the way sometimes and she was putzing about like usual while he was trying to shoot the model.  He eventually got fed up and yelled, "SIT!"  Immediately both the dog and the model hit the ground.

One good thing is that it should be fairly easy to clone the tail out in order to save the photo.

It wasn't exactly a "pet blooper" per ce, but, when I brought my fiancee to the barns at WWU to be in the professional photo with me, Turtle the Thoroughbred standing between us required me holding the reins at the top right under his chin, or else he'd turn and bonk me with his nose right when the shutter would click...

These are fun! I have wanted to do a shoot with my dogs, but haven't had the time. Plus I don't want to get my boyfriend's backdrop full of black/tan dog hair.... that might be bad.

Is that real? It's like a Loch Ness cat--the sucker is huge.

That must require one big-ass litter box.

I actually like the tail in the image... very subtle, but it adds a really difference touch.

Gary,

That image (without the Legs from the light), would be a great shot to send to David Weber. He is a Science Fiction author of a series of books about a female space officer and her special gray cat. The Cat's name is Nimitz... and he would do just that if his owner were to lie down in a bathtub.

This is a great image..

Oh, I am reading one of the books in the series.. of seven or eight books....

Well at first the cat was not supposed to be a part of  this session but once I saw how much they love each other (cat and the young actress), it became a part of session.

Here are some of the shots:

You're right, looking at it, the tail kind of draws one's eyes in.

This is a fantastic image!

I did a really cheesy lingerie shoot with a beautiful white cat once.  Everything was going fine until I accidentally stroked his tail (which his owner didn't warn me about being a tender spot) and the kitty sunk his little teeth into my hand.  I have a great picture of me pulling away in horror, but that shoot was back in the days of film and I've never gotten around to scanning the photo.

(Not much of bloopers really...just an excuse to keep the tread alive for some time.)
