Strange that the OP was killed nearly 3 years ago but there's no In Memoriam badge on his profile. Does MM not do that anymore? Perhaps the mod team is unaware

They still do, but you may have to message them. I don't believe they are aware. I've messaged them regarding a photographer and model who had passed away.  They don't know unless someone tells them.

I see it more the other way around. They say they do, but they put none in their own portfolio.

I see both.   The no-nudes to nude, I think they just switched over and never updated front page from 'no' to yes.  Those who say yes, but don't post any full nudes, well they just seem to tease and maybe leave the option there for the right photographer.   I've seen a few of our best photog guys, who seem to have exclusive nude explicit photo rights to certain models.  The girls will have few to zero topless or nude photos, but when you check credits and see some specially chosen photographers she has done,,,,there may be a dozen superbly done erotic nudes with him but with no other.   Thus, yes, she does shoot nudes.  You never know. Would not hurt to ask the 'no' models if they are sure, before assuming anything.

Could be because they want to get paid to shoot nude and don't want to give away the photos. Just guessing.

Yes, some models do shoot erotic, explicit full nudes for private collections.  They get paid and never intend to share that work here at MM.   Photographer may be listed by her, but not one pic of his work is shared here.    Then there are models who shoot dozens of full porn videos elsewhere under other pseudonyms,  and you'd never even know unless you happen to run across it during various Google searches of her work,  that 'accidently' I'd guess, reveal their secret life.  I know one model here who was very pissed that I ran across her 'other' work that way.

What they may mean is . . . I've shot nudes before, but I'm not interested in doing it again.

Or . . .  I love to shoot nudes, but only with photographers that I want to shoot nudes with.

100% This!

And that's ok if they just don't want to.  Going toward them and saying things like "Hey! You did nudes before how come you don't want to now?!?!?!"

it's their body, their rules, their prerogative.  And that's fine.  Believe me there are others who will most likely be ok shooting with you and doing nudes.

Good luck in your search.

I posted a casting for a nude model a few years ago and a model who replied had checked no nudes on her profile. When I asked to confirm she shot nudes, she confirmed she did but marked no nudes to cut down on GWC photographers contacting her. We had a great paid full day shoot and two days later she shot with me a couple more hours for free.

About two months later she spent about two weeks shooting and traveling with me through several states out west. Including nudes. Still keep in contact and hope to do another travel photography trip.

You are dealing directly with amateur models, here. They get tired of all the requests for nudes, so they claim they don't do them, on the site, or, they got burned in the past, and don't want to be called for that anymore. That is far from the only inconsistencies. They also say they don't do nudes, but that they do glamour, which has plenty of nude exposure in the genre, boobs, crotch, and fannies.  They also say they don't do nudes, and they list erotic, as a genre, which goes much farther than simple nudity, into bondage, BDSM, crotch close ups, masturbation, etc. So, it is OBVIOUS they do NOT understand the genres, or they simply choose to say they don't do nudes, when they do. Your guess is as good as mine.

They also fail to fill out all of their profile, leaving sizes incomplete, etc. So, take what you can from the profile, and recognize you have to confirm all of it, before booking the model.

Just proves that if you want the truth, you have to speak to them directly, and determine what is real. Yeah, it gets to be ridiculous, but you have to do the work to find out whether they can actually do a project you want to do. ONLY they, have the power to commit to a shoot.

I suspect some of the photogs are just as bad, about providing the profile info, as well.

It may be because of a non-compete clause in a contract with a previous photographer/publisher. I've seen it frequently with Playmates. Often, they're prohibited by contract from appearing nude for anyone but Playboy for a term prescribed in the contract.

Thank you for stating this Jazzy! This is perfectly stated. I am also a 20 year veteran model. From 2005-2017 I toured extensively as an art nude model. I even shot a lot fetish and glamour nude work too. However, in 2020 my limits changed. What I am booking changed. A lot has changed with my career.

I noticed some smart a$$ added my nude images on his list of 'does not shoot nude'. I was wondering what that was all about? Some photographers seem really thin skinned when a model is no longer is available for nudes. It's no offense. However, as an older model nearly 40, I have my personal reasons I no longer shoot nudes. Honestly, I am just a different and older woman now. People change and careers change. Why should a model be expected to shoot the same styles she shot at 20 in her 40's? She has physically changed and the type of bookings for older models tend to be different. Models change, evolve and grow. Why should a style she shot in her past be expected decades later? Any other career path, people seem to accept and expect people change. But in modeling, photographers seem bothered by it.

I have been really struggling to convey this change on my profile recently. I keep coming back to re-edit my profile. I am still unsure how to explain the change?

I AGREE... THINGS CHANGE. AS A PHOTOGRAPHER I ASK FOR WHAT I WANT TO SHOOT... IF THE ANSWER IS NO I JUDGE IF THE LOOK OF THE MODEL IS IN LINE WITH THE VISION I WANT ENOUGH THAT I AM WILLING TO BYPASS THE NUDE LOOKS!!! IF SO WE SHOOT - NUDES!!!
