I could say the same thing about GWCs looking for inexperienced models to do "TFP nudes" with...

The spectrum here varies widely.

They are not mannish, they are fitness models.

Well this is one of those times when that "no calling out" rule sucks.  There is a model in TN with a "female" profile, but the first line of the model's porfolio is "Hello, I am a male, I do crossdress, I am new to modeling..."

I'm assuming it would be considered "calling out" to post the name or profile number.  This person hasn't logged on since August and never updated his/her/it's profile.  Guess there were no takers.

If people shoot collaboratively with me, then I'd venture to say that anyone has a chance at modeling, if they find the right niche.  smile

Don't be so modest shyly, you are one of the best models here, that's why people shoot with you. You are beautiful and most certainly not mannish.

Ladies, you're both very sweet, but I wasn't fishing.  My point was that sometimes the most unlikely-seeming people can do good things, so maybe we shouldn't be quite so quick to dismiss unusual-looking models.  wink

the art world needs a diverse selection of models,

I'm happy as many people that are willing to be in front of the camera are signing up to this site, because where else can you find them

Without a diverse selection of models how many real different pieces can you make?

Being a model is not about how pretty you are or how tight your body is, it's about being able to express yourself in a collaboration with the vision of the photographer.

in other words, dont hate.

Depends just how "mannish" they are. It's all in the fixtures and fittings.

my my my....

First off my darling shyly you are by far one of my favorites. You are beautiful.... inside and out; the very picture of womanhood ... proud, beautiful, kind, long suffering, and sugar and spice.

I am not against using unusual looking models... beauty is found very often in a persons oddness... i know mine is.

No this thread was started as an inside joke between me and LaMo... sorry all; I did not mean to offend anyone. It seems that i have been taken too serious both here and in another thread when I was just poking fun at a few friends of mine.

Again I apologize, and because I understand how things can be misconstrued I will make them much more clear in the future.

That is not as uncommon as you would think,
Female can be a mindset and since there is not 3rd choice I guess it should be expected.

But if they are upfront about it I don't see it as a big deal.

To me and you it may seem obvious,
But to others it may not be so clear.
I suspect that their are a lot more in betweens than you would think.
But if they spell it out in their portfolio,
why do we care care which box someone checks?

That's it, I'm taking my wife to the doctor.  I'm going to get her checked.  Call me closed minded if you want, but I was hoping she was really a female.  I'm gonna get myself checked too.  Last time I looked down in the shower I thought I was a guy, but I didn't realize there were other options!  Geez, just when I though I had at least that much figured out!

Hmmm. While not the most endearing description, I have been called far worse. Does this new manish title come with any other perks, such as handy about the house and a free pass into the short restroom lines?

I'm shooting a pre-op t-girl this weekend and I'm actually excited about it. Shooting 19 year old hot chicks gets a little boring. Where's the challenge? They even look great when they're taking a dump. It's too easy and they're a dime a dozen.

So give me your old and your tattooed. Give me your huddling masses of circus freaks and snake charmers. I'll take your anorexic and your overweight... etc., etc., etc.
