Now the model in this photo who is tied up happens to be my wife, so physically touching her while tying her was totally fine, but just keep that in mind when doing shibari shoots that there is significant physical contact. There are some who more or less are into bondage and make images look as such, but the fact remains, it's an art form that's been around a while and isnt going anywhere. I have seen some absolutely stunning shibari images that are art gallery worthy. I have seen some that are cheap trash.
