Well when I take pictures I LOVE using weapons my boyfriend has swords and knives and I love it when he/his friends poses with them for me lol. My mom did a shoot with one of the knives I gave him for his birthday. I would love to do pictures with weapons! : 0 )

Not much.  Weapons don't stimulate my imagination.  That said, here's an image including one: https://modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pid=645831

I've done it several times. Usually in context (the model is holding a sword for a reason, not just 'cause it's hot) but one model just asked to pose with a gun because she likes them. I mostly try to follow Chekhov's Law, but sometimes you just gotta light as you listeth.

I think it`s fine...........it works well in Retro Fashion Photography

https://img2.modelmayhem.com/050703/22/42c8ad83b96f2.jpg

This was shot for a vintage swimwear company in a DR NO "Honey Ryder"
James Bond style *and yes that`s a real "unloaded" Walther PPK*

(Weapons safety on the set is the most important thing when working with firearms or edged weapons,  also closed sets are also suggested as well to avoid problems from the Police and spectators)

This was shot in an alley in Dallas (that was secured for the shoot)

photographers do it all the time.. look at dvd box sets and movie posters.. i think weapons are only good when they are in a character concept and not in a a model with a gun shot

I agree. I did one at request and didn't like it.

I'm a competitive shooter and sometimes it comes up and the model asks if she can pose with a gun.  I'll do it sometimes but only after teaching her some basics both about safety and making sure she has a decent grip/stance.  I won't take a shot that violates the safety rules - so finger off the trigger, weapon pointed in a safe direction.  These things aren't toys.

I've had models that got interested enough to want to go shooting and we've done that on another day.  Women are usually pretty easy to teach to shoot - guys like to act like they know everything already but women are there to learn.

I've tried a few shots with both edged weapons and firearms. I found it difficult to avoid the "nekkid babe with sword" cliche. I am happier with a shot with a model who wanted to show off her new ankh tattoo. We shot it in IR with her holding a Browning Hi-Power 9mm pistol.

Here is an image of a model with a sword. Kinda' fun.

Unfortunately, unless you find a model that has trained with weapons, it's hard to get a "killer" pose. That wasn't meant as a pun.

Well I have a few.
For awhile there I was doing some fetish PPV shoots. Start with Woman with Weapon, start removing clothes, remove weapon, tie up, what could be better. But then I had to let them go.

A couple three examples of Women with Weapons

The first is a real weapon (although a bit antique - the weapon not the model)
https://www.longwatcher.com/images/20060910_Isabell/_I0S1444_edited.jpg

Folowed by a skimpy outfit and a photoshop change of background.
https://www.longwatcher.com/images/20031228_Lynnette/Lynnette_Sunset%20Swordfight.jpg

And finally just before she gets tied up (what you can't see is the gag in the mouth) (Almost forgot to mention this one needs some editing, but at the time I was going through a non-editing phase)

I had a model who wanted to pose with my katana, so we did a few shots. Not my usual thing:

I have shots in my port with a large axe.It was a modern take on the Joan Crawford film "Strait-Jacket".
I've seen a lot of switchblades lately in photos.

Don't point a gun at anyone unless you intend to shoot them.

3 out of 19 shots on my port have guns in it. And another shot has a case which contains a revolver.

There are two in my portfolio, one a sword which I can borrow, it is a pure show sword and does not have a sharp edge.  The goth is with his own [airsoft] gun. I am planning more shoots with a goth girl and the sword in a gravestone factory late at night. [Lighting that might be fun!?!]

Holding a PPK with your thumb behind the slide like that is a quick trip to the emergency room for hand surgery!

OK, I was going to say that weapon shots are usually cheesy looking, but you have *so* changed me mind.  Beautiful shots.

Here is one i did a few months ago. It was a test shoot with a 10min set-up and 10 min to shoot before the model had to leave for work.

I do have ideas for a male nude with a sword and a female topless with machine gun and machine gun belts. Looking for models in my area to do these.

90% of "girls with guns" photos look really cheesy to me. There are exceptions, of course. I tend to like swords more, because fantasy themes intrigue me more.

Here is one of mine:
