I modeled my very first pinup photoshoot recently and I had a question about communicating with stylists about my hair. I have naturally dark brown curly hair which I have professionally bleached and dyed pink. Because of the bleaching my hair is a little fragile even though I do my best to take good care of it.

Due to all the teasing and heat-styling (which are two things I never do at home- air-dry or bust!) I noticed a bit of breakage in my hair after the shoot was over. I'd like to avoid being too tough on my hair, but I also know that there's often a lot of styling that goes on especially with pinup hair.

Any tips on how to best communicate my concerns to the hairstylist at the shoot, or is a little wear and tear just par for the course?

Why not try to clip in a few colored extensions.    You can thin set your hair. Finger wave it. Or pin curl it.
