I just saw a port where the photographer stated he didn't do such shoots. I found it kind of funny. Never heard that term before.

lol well I usually don't like to bash people's work based on genre/styles. Excuse me for being polite and not having "artsy fartsy" in my daily vocabulary tongue

Cheers!

the term artsy fartsy is actually a mis pronounciation of someones name

art (arthur) syfar, art syfar was a baroque artist living in england, he copied Louis IX furniture and made a small but decent living until he tried to add faux painting in his work..

people saw he was pretentios and started calling his work

art syfaristic, it became mis-pronounced until it sounded like it does today..

Other obscure sayings...DRAG (as in DRAG Queen)..."Dressed As Girl"...from Shakespeares play notes...women weren't allowed to be actors so men had to play the parts of women...

What a drag that must have been...

in fact there used to be 'fart containers'..

https://www.apphoto.es/imatges/verde/APP321200.gif

roll the film onto the spool, fart into the container, let it sit for 30 mins, use the film...

it added saturation to the picture

That saturation part made me think of so many things, none of them pleasing in reality but so damned funny in thought.  Skid-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d

Very similar to cross-processing, but more artsy-fartsy

And as long as we have been defining art, glamour, artsy-fartsy, etc., this morning, let me contribute an excellent example of artistic artsy-fartsy:

http://www.fartingpreacher.org/index.ph … =25&pic=66

http://www.fartingpreacher.org/index.ph … =25&pic=62

http://www.fartingpreacher.org/index.ph … =25&pic=68

http://www.fartingpreacher.org/index.ph … =25&pic=64

http://www.fartingpreacher.org/index.ph … =25&pic=65

That should be sufficient

for a lifetime
