There are 10k retoucher profiles on this site and nobody can possibly know which one is nice based on these generic requirements. Example: what is "smoother skin"? Smoother than what? How much smoother? For what purpose? Is it a beauty/fashion/lifestyle/portrait shot? - these all have different goals and skin smoothing may be crucial or not necessary at all. Same with the rest of the list.

You can also:

1. Use the browse/search menu and define your criteria
2. Post a casting call defining your criteria and budget.
3. Browse availability notices

Yeah, it is incredible. As a professional in NYC, I could not imagine even considering those rates at this point in my career (unless it's literally maybe five minutes of work time). Those are "This is just a hobby" or "I'm doing you a solid favor" rates here.

I do understand though that in some parts of the world, those are very livable wages, so no disrespect intended, but in NYC my lights would be shut off and I would likely be homeless on such an income.

Serious professionals have expenses which the average person going to the office 9AM-5PM doesn't. A significant part of them is for quality equipment and that has the same price in any country (example: an EIZO monitor). One cannot possibly guarantee quality excellence without being able to afford the tools necessary for it (by being too low priced), without understanding the need for it or by buying the Ferrari without knowing how to drive it.
