Skin glow really means skin shine, i.e. increased contrast - brighter light tones, darker dark ones. If you know how to make things brighter and lighter, you already know all about it. Just do it selectively and with care.

By "glamour glow", what do you mean? Could you pls give us a sample? One thing I personally think, "glamour glow" is more about the lighting than retouching. If you Google "glamour lighting", you'll see the lighting is very intense, almost film noir lighting.

I thought that's a computer generated image until she switched off the layers. Way overdone IMO

Do yourself, your models and your viewers a favor and do NOT learn to do this. Please.

Aww.. I have to agree with anchev and Ad Alex, that one is over the top. Something you could do easily with Imagenomic Portraiture plugin. But, by doing this, it would seem that you're neglecting the work of the makeup artist and the natural beauty of the model.

Are you familiar with dodging and burning? Do you know what "dodging" does?

Because if you do something like this:

1. You don't really need a model in the sense of a living human being
2. Your work will look terribly fake
3. It is not really photography any more
4. No decent media will publish it
5. There are millions of such images and they are of no use - neither aesthetically, nor commercially, nor for portfolio

I see.. To be honest, I didn't do much in this photo aside from cleaning it up and coloring. Glow of the her skin is due to 3 things: 1)The model seems to have young glowy skin, 2)Makeup artist did a great job not overdoing the makeup 3)last but not the least, beauty dish..  get one and you're halfway to achieving similar result.
