Greetings!

Can anyone help me with what I believe to be a simple problem?  I want to stitch three frames side by side to one another, and then have them frame a single photo.  So, in essence, there are three tiles that each contain one third of the single image.

I'm thinking there must be a way to do this either in my existing software: Lightroom, Aperture... or ... If there is an app out there to download.

Help!   smile

oh, and if you haven't shot it already, be sure to leave at least a 25% overlap of frames

Thanks so much Moto.... but this is kind of the opposite of what I want to do.

I have a SINGLE image -  I want the end result to be that single image with three frames over it.

If I read your description correctly, I think you want to create a Single Image Triptych. Is this what you are looking to do ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQmp5CkPkG8

Procedure sounds like

rectangular select  / edit - cut  / file - new / edit - paste  / save as (new name)
     (pick a third)

                                      and repeat 2 more times

3 new files when placed side by side will show the full image
