I would like to add some tears to a portrait (those from crying, not torn edges). Is there any easy way to? Short of doing it in a 3d program to get the lighting correct and then compositing?

- you can do it in 3D
- you can composite water drops taken on a proper surface
- if you are a good painter, you can even paint it and composite that properly
- you can outsource it

Agreed , Deviantart.com has tons of brushes , most just ask you give them credit if you want to go the easy way . I have bought stock of mine or used my own stock of a tear drop and done it that way but I do know there are brushes because that is how I started out about 9 years ago ....

Try to match the setup with someone with a tear and lift it off one photo and put it in the other.

This is what you need. I used it in the past and works great as tears.
