Hello everyone,

When considering, this is an important part for a retoucher.  How do you select your images to retouch & how do you think whether the image is in a good quality to do Highend retouch?  What do you consider most on the whole?

Thanks in advance,

In retouching there are 2 dirty words: "high end" and "testing". None of them has anything to do with quality.

The qualities to consider are:

- Purpose of the image
- The feeling it creates (and how it matches the purpose)
- Technical - good focus, exposure and low noise
- Composition - what makes the image balanced
- Styling - hair, makeup, environment

There is really no most. They should work together.

But in general it is the job of the editor to select the images, not of the retoucher (unless it is the same person).
