Welcome to the Mayhem, best of luck. Do a search in your area for photographers and message them about your availability, post a casting  notice for your area stating that you are available for paid shoots. See if there are any group shoot in your area and work that angle, that should get you known in your area and get you some contacts.

Welcome back to MM, Ashlynn. I personally like your diverse looks, and don't think that getting work would be a problem for you.

If you are looking for paid gigs, you should mention that in your profile (which you have done). Apart, you could try signing up with a model agency who could help you find paid gigs. But remember, paid gigs are not that easy as they sound, or else every other pretty girl would be raking in the moolah. It takes a lot of sweat and pain to reach there where you "don't wake up for less than $10,000" (Linda Evangelista).

To that end, I would request you to take the selfies and mobile snapshots off for the moment (top 3 rows), or club them under a separate album, away from your work stuff. Remember, business and pleasure seldom mix well.

You said "...think you could help me advance in this industry...", do not expect to get paid work with that disclaimer. If you want to advance, you might need to do some TF shoots, where you get really high quality images in lieu of your valuable time. That really helps when you update the portfolio.

I can see a few pictures appearing multiple times. Cut down on that, you do not need a bunch load of images to show how diverse you are. Quality images over quantity is always preferable.

What do you think is your best feature? What genre are you most comfortable with? Start off with them, the rest will come to you slowly.

And lastly, I would recommend no uppercase typing in your profile. You can put all your dislikes in firm but polite words, preferably in the normal case-structure, and people would still take notice.

Hope my advice helps you. Cheers! smile

I read your bio and looked at your portfolio...you're 5;6" but want to do fashion, editorial, runway, say yes to nudes but say you won't do "full on nudes". All caps segments of the bio. And an all caps escort and "sleazy" location paragraph. If I were hiring a model, I'd not want to see that, and I would want to see an established portfolio beyond snapshots. Maybe work on those things and it will be more inviting to approach you, my 2 cents.

I sought out a sleazy motel for this NSFW shoot, btw, and the model is still ok.

I will be in your area in a week but your profile tells me that I shouldn't work with you.

I would not hire you . . . your port is not strong enough to carry.

haha I got the same vibe.
a port full of 5 year old selfies confirms it.
all bad.

ashlynn,
delete all the old crap and offer to trade to update your portfolio.
then change the way your profile attitude comes across and youll start booking work.

As a photographer who pays traveling alt models, she has the look that I would easily pay for.

One look at that profile easily leads me into another direction, like a most likely block list candidate.

I would start from scratch with some research.  Maybe try to talk to a traveling alt model to get some pointers from her.

You have the look and talent but not the portfolio.   I  would focus on getting a few killer shots.

Generally, I agree with most of the prior posts.

We photographers can be selective about who we hire/work with thus, if the "About Me" sounds demanding
or arrogant, we'll probably take a pass on that.

I highly recommend that you remove your requirement for a chaperon.  Many of us have had a myriad of bad experiences with chaperons (theft, jealousy, bad effect on the model, anon, anon anon). The responsibility is on you to do the necessary research so that you can trust the person you will work with. Don't be lazy, check references, look at the photographers portfolio and stay in touch with a "friend" when you arrive at the shoot". Also, if you are unsure about somebody, meet them first and check their vibe. Since I started working with models in the 1980's, I have had bad experiences with about 75% of the shoots that included a chaperon.  That is probably not uncommon so IMHO,  drop that requirement entirely.
