Brilliant work! A lot of effort by all involved. Model, MUA, Stylist, as well as Photographer should all be commended for such an awesome end result.

They are impressive, no two ways about it.  However I'd bet money that if some unknown, non-full-time non-pro-commercial-photographer posted any one of them on MM without the pretentious text in the corner he'd get some less than flattering comments about it.

Agreed......

Some cool stuff for sure… I like some and don’t like others, our work is so subjective….

If it were me shooting it, I would get hammered on this or that is wrong: Oh the skin is too soft in this one, the skin tones are off, you cropped off her knee, Not the wing!!!!
Not one person thus far had any constructive criticism for the set of photos.

I love the photos, the styling is amazing.  But I wouldn't herald any of it as a new era of fashion photography.  This is standard fare for most non-mainstream fashion mags.

people tend to be more critical of what they cannot do themselves.

i have a photographer friend who if i show him amazing photograhry, he just gets defensive and says they're trust-funders who get all the breaks. he'll never admit they're better photographers.

he had a few good years with stock imagery, but that is behind him now. he constantly brings up the past. definitely bitter.
