Alright, after having my first shoot with a make up artist, I know they are essential to putting together a really great shoot. She was a real professional so her services were a bit beyond my everyday cost range. So...I'm asking all my fellow models, how do you connect with make-up artists in your area? I can't seem to find any!

Thanks!

Amanda,

You might want to check out the classified in your area or even go onto www.craigslist.com a great resource!! If you ever get to Chicago, we gotta shoot!! smile

Amanda,

I've found them either through word of mouth, or on forums such as this and OMP.  I hadn't thought of checking CL - thanks for the suggestion, Rich!  I've also connected with a couple via net-model.com.  It's definitely difficult to come by a MUA who isn't priced entirely out of my range, though, so I know where you're coming from.

I've been thinking of finding a makeup class or something of the sort, to learn more than I know.  Have any other models done that, and would y'all recommend it?
