The baby didn't have food or water, but luckily, the place was moist and wind-free. The bastards will be found soon, based on DNA, they can narrow it down to hospitals and newborn dates/times, I think.

The mother is in police custody and has been charged with attempted murder.

The odds of surviving the ordeal let alone the chance of being found was so great against the baby. But he beat the odds!

It's a terrible, wrong, and awful thing to do.

But is nobody wondering about her mental state? Why didn't she abort? Why didn't she give it up for adoption? Is she being abused? Is she mentally ill? I hope that's actually considered rather than roundly condemning.

If I was king of the world...

The person who put the baby in the storm drain would be put in the same storm drain, under the same conditions, for the same amount of time...and then sent off for a long prison term.

On the bright side, the baby is alive and stories like this always draw huge numbers of people who want to adopt and give that baby a good home with a loving family.

Happy Thanksgiving smile
