Is it Ok to ask?
For a copy of the model release form after everyone signs it? Or is it really necessary of a model to have a copy? Just a question thanks ; ) Nov 20 06 09:27 am Link sweetgirl_inlove wrote: I have copies from all of my paid shoots. I have some copies from my TFP shoots. Nov 20 06 09:28 am Link Most of the time I've been offered a copy. Several times we've just signed two and I take one and they take one. At any rate, no it shouldn't be a problem to ask for a copy for your record. Nov 20 06 01:10 pm Link I always mail out a copy with the CD. PAid or TFCD. The model always needs to know what they signed. Nov 20 06 01:13 pm Link Mark Reese Photography wrote: Thanks! I always take multiple releases to a shoot and I don't understand why some models say they don't need a copy..... better to be safe, whether it's tfp or paid shouldn't make a difference Jon www.jonroberts.co.uk Nov 20 06 01:20 pm Link Lyndzi Joy wrote: hot blondes have to stick together! There could be some funny clause hidden in there that allows for something strange and you might not catch it if you assume that its the same as every other release that you've signed... Nov 20 06 08:49 pm Link If you sign a binding legal document, you should have a copy. Nov 20 06 08:51 pm Link Steven Barrett wrote: Stated succinctly, clearly and correctly. I signed a release where it said I'd get the pictures in 2 weeks and well.... its been a lot longer than that. But, what can one expect from TFP? *sigh* And as if that complaint hasn't been made a billion times. lol Definitely going to start keeping a release file. I'm just going to be patient and hope I get my pictures. *twiddles thumbs* Nov 20 06 09:20 pm Link sweetgirl_inlove wrote: Yes - it is okay. Nov 21 06 08:57 am Link I have yet to have someone ask for one even when I offer. I deal more with amateurs though a couple of professionals. What I have been asked for repeatedly is an explanation of the release. Hell, when I first read it I wouldn't have signed it. I thought I would post this link: http://www.apogeephoto.com/mag4-6/mag4- … ases.shtml I now have a copy of it next to the release. It's not a signed copy, but its an exact copy of the release in case she ever has any questions. Nov 21 06 10:44 am Link |
