I have ventured out into the world for 50's/60's pinup modeling and I am having a website created for me! I am really excited!! I have been advised by alot of people in this industry to have a stage or pinup girl name, and I am looking for ideas.
A good friend of mine told me
"Something peppy and chipper and maybe dessert-related. It seems pinup specialists have names which are puns or desserts. Dita Von Teese ("tease"), Viva Van Story (Long live storytelling photography), I know a couple named Candie Rocket and Rachel Von Cupcake. I guess those names also seem to have that 1940s-50's ring to them-- I'd stick with either the alliteration with Von, Van, or maybe Mc or O' in the middle, or the Adjective Noun setup. "

Anyone else have any advice or ideas on how to go about doing this?  It sounds easy, but I have been racking my brain for the last 3 days over this...

So far I have a lot of votes on Gigi Ganache...  All of my photographer friends and other models keep saying this is the one... *sigh*

Is this a model name or are you also a performer?
Do you have any prominent tattoos, piercings or noticeable traits that may lend a hand in naming you?

Von Vixen...

So funny that you mentioned that, because when my friend mentioned Scarlett, my immediate thought was Scarlett Von Vixen...

I have your everyday run of the mill piercings...ears, navel..  Only one tattoo and it is a heart with a halo above it and it says "Angel" in cursive writing across it...

I am just a model...  I'm looking to break into Indie films, but thats a while down the road...

Look through old hollywood star actor/actresses names. .. mix it up but add something meaningful about yourself in it.

You're right...  I love couture and martinis...so this could get a lot more interesting...  smile  That is the problem I was having with picking a name...  I kept being told to stick to a certain format, and I was worried that I'd pick a name that wasn't me, and be stuck hearing it all the time...  I am REALLY glad that isn't the case!!!

My favorite so far.

I agree, don't follow the formula.  I've always been annoyed at stage names that are obviously fake.
Ava Stoli is convincing, but no one in their right mind is going to believe that your parents actually named you Scarlett Von Vixen.  tongue
