A true model has no limits.
Models limit there work so much now a days. That its almost impossible to figure out whos the best to work with. Nov 18 06 08:51 am Link No limits?! Sorry, but I'm just NOT into the alternative thing!! I also don't want lingerie because I wouldn't be in VS or any other catalog for it, and thusly have no need for it. I don't think I quite have the look for biker/hot car stuff either. My limits are what I consider reasonable. Nov 18 06 02:33 pm Link charles e williams wrote: Huh? Nov 18 06 02:43 pm Link well, dude... 1stly, work on your camera skills with friends for now. your portfolio is still at the beginner level. NO, experienced model or serious model that has a head on his or her shoulders is going to work with someone with a portfolio like that. Now, I'm not bashing here so don't think I am. I'm just calling it as I see it because well, I started in modeling. Nov 18 06 02:46 pm Link Welllll.... if a model has no limits.... they're probably dead already. But I like Extreme Limits ok. Nov 18 06 03:45 pm Link ok , i suck at photography alot. but your port looks like you bought a used 2 meg point and shoot last week. i would easily believe for you models have alot of limits. at least use a damn stroboframe. the other thing is the pictures you have of the same model look like its your wifie/girlfriend and your goofing around in your house before you nail her. if you want to see really amateur pictures of models look at my port i get alot of models starting out , or girls looking to have some fun. i am by no means close to a pro in any way. It all depends on the type of modeling that they're involved in. However, I think your problem may be more of a quality issue. I understand that everyone starts somewhere, but have you tried paying some highly experienced models to learn from and improve the look of your port? The more that improves, the more models will want to shoot with you. Looks like maybe you should invest in some better equipment and maybe some lessons as well. Nov 18 06 08:50 pm Link After awhile the OP may realize (like I do) that they still have a ways to go. But you know, when I started my MM site in earnest about 6 months ago I least had a few semi-professsional looking images to start my port with, images that at least had a passing resemblance to some sort of creative or artistic vision. Instead of just snapshots. Nov 18 06 09:30 pm Link charles e williams wrote: Who are you to define what a "true model" is? Everyone should have their limits, especially when it comes the SAFETY and comfort level.... Nov 18 06 09:36 pm Link Yes, as far as limtis, of course each model has limits. As good photographers, we can test them gently and intuit where they are, and professionally retreat when we have overstepped them by the inch or two we cautiously advance as we proceed during a shoot or series of shoots. To sum up, as photgraphers we combine creativity and respect for limits by exemplifying the following characteristics: Intuition Gentleness Professionalism Caution Empathy, compassion and a sense of humor are good too. Nov 18 06 09:41 pm Link ok, I've got ask.. I read these threads alot but what is a GWC? Nov 18 06 09:46 pm Link Everybody has limits.Respect them. Nov 18 06 09:46 pm Link Well no one is good at everything so you have to specialize in order to better market yourself. A true model with no limits would do it, right? Nov 19 06 12:54 am Link No Limits, that also means you right? Ok, Come out to Vegas, we will tie you to the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, nude & upside down and we take pictures of you. Oh, and we want to do it as a TFP shoot, no escorts, just you, well maybe the cops will come, we will be gone by then, they can untie you. hahahahahah Riiiiiiiight! Nov 19 06 01:15 am Link |
