The sad thing is that this sweeps week posturing isn't even limited to commercial TV anymore. PBS had a special on last night about some family in the former soviet union that has started knuckle-walking like gorillas. When even PBS can't avoid pandering to the freak show audience, you know the world really has gone to hell.
