I was just wondering how long before the forums start really dying off. I used to read a lot of them but now the topics are either getting repeated or they are just being posted because there is nothing left to talk about. I think we should erase them all and start from scratch.

As long as there's a free t-shirt involved, the forums will thrive. So how many posts an I up to? Damn I got a long way to go.

People disappear.  There are several stalwarts but many people who were active a year ago are not now.  I certainly read the forums a lot less frequently.  And new ones come in to fill the void.  Also I used to complain about the "dead horse" issues and, along with others, sometimes post a list of the dozen previous threads where some particular topic had been talked to death but then I realized that people just want to talk about things.  They don't really want a resolution, they just like the talking.

(Has this been covered before?)
