Urban Pin Up??
Is there such a thing? If there isn't. . .what would it look like? If there is. . .what does it look like? I've seen Retro and drooled over VonTesse (sp?) but if that particular style isn't done just right. . .it just looks either played out or downright tacky. I love the look of cheesecake, but I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around what an "urban" twist on it would look like. Pin Up enthusiasts help a girl out!! Nov 06 06 09:03 pm Link Hrmmm I think I may have an idea... Just one of those baggy sweatshirts unzipped and a pair of heals.... or like the old van Huson images... Come to nor-cal and we will figure it out... You bring the urban adn I'll bring the pin up... Nov 06 06 09:08 pm Link Hmmmm. . . sweatshirt sounds like a cheesecake kind of thing. . .guess if you threw in a ballcap it would be more urban? I dunno. Confused. Nov 06 06 09:10 pm Link Deal! '07? Experimental Photoworks wrote: Nov 06 06 09:13 pm Link Good questions !! I am doing a new style called illustrational pinup. Take a look at port pic #1 and tell me what you think. https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pid=1626322 EL Nov 06 06 09:13 pm Link Would something like this count? Nov 06 06 09:15 pm Link ball cap would work... The pin up you are speaking of is in the style of poses and smiles, the model is looking cute and fun sexy, not come fuck me slutty sexy. baggy pants that just slid down and an "oops" pose like the old water babies pose... sweet and cute... Nov 06 06 09:15 pm Link Well. . .IMHO. . . The "key" to pinup is "playful" and not necessarily nude. I think that #1 is more illustrated figure if there is such a thing. #3 hits more illustrated pinup for me. But don't take my word for it. . .I know nothing really. PIC wrote: Nov 06 06 09:16 pm Link So when you say pin-up do you only mean old fashioned? ...Cause most maxim and fhm type stuff are more or less modern urban pin-ups. Nov 06 06 09:16 pm Link see: moulin Rouge theme song video with Christina, Lil Kim, etc etc Nov 06 06 09:19 pm Link I think what the first model is doing, is more what's in my head. Iona's most definitely right. . .it's in the posing. Cute, sexy, playful. Sharron P wrote: Nov 06 06 09:19 pm Link How do you feel that blends pin up and urban? When I saw that my mind immediately thought "burlesque" only w/o the stripping. Jeff Cohn::X-Pose.net:: wrote: Nov 06 06 09:21 pm Link https://modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pid=1636354 go here replace the hat with baseball cap.. and the dress with baggy pants or a sweatshirt... heals with sneakers.... and add a few other "urban props" Nov 06 06 09:22 pm Link To me, pinup is implied nekkid w/clothes. That's the best way for me to explain it. That whole cutesy, I'm "thinking" about sex, but I'll never tell look. Doesn't necessarily have to be old fashioned. I thought maxim/fhm was glamour (i.e. soft porn). Things To Look At wrote: Nov 06 06 09:24 pm Link "urban props" = bling? *lol* Ok. I can definitely see that w/a lingerie twist. Nov 06 06 09:41 pm Link Maybe some variation of: PIC wrote: Nov 06 06 09:43 pm Link Sharron P wrote: wow!!!! These are hot girls. great Nov 06 06 09:45 pm Link There is a Bridgestone tire commercial (...and the wheels..go round) with a bit of a hip hop feel to it. VERY sexy without being crass. It might be a form of "urban pinup" look... I'll see if I can find a link... Nov 06 06 10:49 pm Link I think it fits the mold. Pissed me off that i didn't tell her to move her right arm into the frame but que sera. Nov 06 06 10:52 pm Link Things To Look At wrote: I can agree with that! Nov 10 06 09:11 pm Link |
