Is there such a thing?  If there isn't. . .what would it look like?  If there is. . .what does it look like?

I've seen Retro and drooled over VonTesse (sp?) but if that particular style isn't done just right. . .it just looks either played out or downright tacky.

I love the look of cheesecake, but I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around what an "urban" twist on it would look like.  Pin Up enthusiasts help a girl out!!

Hmmmm. . .
sweatshirt sounds like a cheesecake kind of thing. . .guess if you threw in a ballcap it would be more urban?  I dunno.  Confused.

ball cap would work...
The pin up you are speaking of is in the style of poses and smiles, the model is looking cute and fun sexy, not come fuck me slutty sexy.

baggy pants that just slid down and an "oops" pose like the old water babies pose...
sweet and cute...

Well. . .IMHO. . .
The "key" to pinup is "playful" and not necessarily nude.  I think that #1 is more illustrated figure if there is such a thing.  #3 hits more illustrated pinup for me.  But don't take my word for it. . .I know nothing really.

So when you say pin-up do you only mean old fashioned?  ...Cause most maxim and fhm type stuff are more or less modern urban pin-ups.

I think what the first model is doing, is more what's in my head.  Iona's most definitely right. . .it's in the posing.  Cute, sexy, playful.

How do you feel that blends pin up and urban?  When I saw that my mind immediately thought "burlesque" only w/o the stripping.

To me, pinup is implied nekkid w/clothes.  That's the best way for me to explain it.  That whole cutesy, I'm "thinking" about sex, but I'll never tell look.  Doesn't necessarily have to be old fashioned.  I thought maxim/fhm was glamour (i.e. soft porn).

Na #3 is Alternative Ainup - both 1 and 3 are nude and 1 is Betty Boop playfull.
If you start an urban pinup then you got to have a Rual pinup.
Since you are from the burbs in Mo you might wish to do Rual Pinup.

burlesque and pinup are closely related, ones just got more motion.

90% of the time though still shots of a burlesque performance look like pinup shots anyway, if the performers are aiming for it, they're usualy best at it..

see: melissa bang bang, go go amy, Dita von Teese, etc

There is a Bridgestone tire commercial (...and the wheels..go round) with a bit of a hip hop feel to it. VERY sexy without being crass. It might be a form of "urban pinup" look...

I'll see if I can find a link...
