No seriously...
I did...and I didn't even think to call the pope. And I didn't get a release. And I didn't say a word to her mother (don't even know if she was there)!
What should I do? Format the cards? Pretend it didn't happen? Go on with life care free?

Honestly...This happened. I may even post pictures in a second...AHHH!!!!

Hmmmmm, if she was from Oklahoma and she was 14, it was probably a wedding shoot.  (Ducks for cover as Iris starts throwing things at the smartass Ks photographer)

Had she been in Arkansas, it would have been a shotgun wedding. tongue

Consider the good news, Iris.  You can license your life story to the Lifetime Channel to be made into a movie.

That is too funny. In all seriousness I shot a 14 year old also. According to the MM experts on everyone's life but their own I should be locked away in Alcatraz by now. But I am not! I am FREE!!!! Oh wait...a car just pulled up, men with black suits and some nifty ear peices are surrounding my house.

I photographed hundreds of minors when I was working for two modeling schools and an "agency."  No, it's not a big deal, but I certainly wouldn't do it again without being paid.  Except for one picture I sold as a bodice-ripper paperback cover, nothing was really worth keeping or showing.  It was "work," and the result was paying my mortgage and supporting my family.

-D

Edit:  Found that paperback cover.  This one made in the mid-'80s.  Monica was 14 I think.  Dave was 18 or so.  Sorry about the crappy scan.  That was done in '98 and I didn't know what I was doing.  A print was the deliverable.

Maybe I'll dig out the negative and scan it again...

Being Female, you are basically immune to mis-conduct with underage kids. You really can only get into to trouble if the kids are male and you have intercourse with them. Even then it is 50/50. A female taking pictures of teen females is pretty much nothing to do about nothing.

Being Male and Single. If I look at teens wrong I go to jail never to be seen again or if I do get out I am exiled for life. My only protection is having a parent present. If I was married or extremely well established in the area it would reduce my risk considerably. That said, why yes I have on rare occasions taken pictures of people under the age of 18 (and we are not counting my neice and nephew). The limit for me is swimsuits with parents present.

The most popular poster I ever made shows a ten year old girl.

Perhaps. But then you'd have to worry about what your wife might think. Take your chances with the community smile

Lets just hope you kept her clothes on, otherwise the "nude nazis" will take your camera and make you work in the "Gutlag"....

Seriously, did you shoot any of her naked... then watch out!! I make all my models bring a photo copy of thier ID or if I am shooting underage models I always have a parent or guardian sign it.

Don't worry, teenagers heal fast. Tell her you'll buy her a car when she gets her driver's license and spend the next two years looking for a new place to live on the other side of the country.

Since I can't see what it under that fur, I can only assume she's wearing nothing.  That, therefor, qualifies this image as erotic.

Additionally, she is modeling a fur.  how insensitive of you.

Erotic + insensitive = porn

Porn + photographer = pornographer.

you are a pornographer.  Please see me so that you may be properly spanked.

Wow, No idea how I have made it this far without going to jail...  I shoot underage girls all the time, even boys. In swimsuits, cheerleading outfits, you name it.  The parents are NEVER there, not true, every now and then I may see one. I never get a release no matter what. I ask them for thier address and phone number and lets not forget thier e-mail address too. Did I mention they also pay me? or maybe I should say thier parents do. It is thier name on the checks I cash.

For those of you that have yet to figure it out,  I also do school photography, yearbook, sports and dances.

I never thought twice about shooting younger models, but since everyone here is so terrified, it thought I'd post this... smile lol
