How do I find clients in Central michigan?  It seems like everyone is in Detroit, New York, of California.  I'm not sure who or how to approach.

Any wisdom would be helpful.

What kind of clients do you want?  There is probably some commercial work for small local clients in the Tri-Cities area, but you are right, there is far more work in Detroit.  Let's not forget that the big three automakers are in Detroit.  It is actually one of the larger mid-markets in the country.  It might behoove you to take a field trip down there to see if you can pick up any work from the advertising agencies down there.  You might also talk to Affiliated and Traque.  They may be able to steer you towards some contacts.

It seems the mountain won't come to you, you may have to go to the mountain.
