I have heard that too much diversity sometimes can confuse potential clients.  Clients are usually looking for a particular style and often choose models that show strongly in the theme that they are casting for.  I guess it could depend on whether you are in a large or small market too.  Maybe the shot-gun approach is good in small markets where there is not that much talent available.

i don't know her number.  on mm, the most diverse model without a doubt based on history and knowledge from nearly every segment of the industry is mayanlee.

I'm probably not the top one, but I don't know very many models who do both very serious fine art and fashion/runway. And I throw in a little bit of glamour and other stuff.

Not to knock her at all (I certainly wish I could have fashion stuff like hers), but I don't think her portfolio is that diverse. It's all fashion with some artistic nudes that are all in the same style.

Alli, you're pretty diverse yourself! Do you have a new modeling portfolio up? The one I have for you isn't there anymore...

If you think there is diversity among nudes, theda has a pretty diverse portfolio, she has worked with a lot of amazing photographers. I think diversity in a models portfolio has to do with two things: 1. the variety of moods and poses and expressions he/she can convey and 2. the number of different photographers with distinct styles that they have shot with.

maybe it's the definition of diverse. Because I expect from every model to have a range from sweet to crazy. That is part of their job. Diversity in a model is when she can look completle different in phtotos. Not her expressions or her emotions but her over-all look. When she's a complete chameleon while still keeping her own look.

If you were on OMP a while back....Mayan Lee had a ton more pics there and definitely showed her diversity...i believe she downgraded the amount of pics she had....but i still remember the zillion looks she pulled...

Based upon my present portfolio here, I would actually agree with you. But you have to keep in mind I've had a presence for quite some time and a body of work of over 20 years ... there are a few folks here who have seen the progression over the years that isn't evidenced by what's posted here. I just don't want to put out for more pages and since I'm retired, there's no point to it.

diversity is key.  when i think "diversity", i think, various poses, facial expressions, compositions, styles of fashion, make-up, locations.  Basically everything.  i love it!
