Pics from my first digital shoot..Oh Lord!
well, I was cleaning out the old hard drves and found images from my first Digial shoot. I say Digital because I ws a film buff years ago..those images were much better..LOL Let's see those images of yesterday! WOW! Oct 23 06 11:06 am Link Can't show them they're digital, lost them with my hard drive crash of '04. Second set on Cd back up, can't read the CD for no apparent reason, have to love digital. But still have my first film of people when I began photographing people Circa 1992. What does that say for archival of historic pictures for future generations? My house could burn to the ground, and the only images I'd lose are my old negs... Oct 23 06 01:44 pm Link I actually have a pic or two that I took back in the late 1980s, when I made my first go at professional photography. See if you can guess which ones they are (without cheating by looking at the date info I added!). -- rick Oct 23 06 02:11 pm Link First model shoot from a group shoot hosted by GPI: Man, look at those masterfully blown highlights! Oct 23 06 02:17 pm Link First I got my Kodak DCS210 point and shoot. $800 for that puppy! Then I got my Sony Mavica. The one that burned the images in camere onto a small CD. If you bumped it while finalizing it was all over. And the discs were about $5 each and NOT rewritable. Then I got my Olympus E-10 and I was stylin'! Three count them. THREE ISO settings. Are you done laughing at me now? Oct 23 06 02:26 pm Link where are the out-of-focus boobies. I started with an e-10 doing landscapes; then boobies kidnapped me. I am trying to escape ! Oct 23 06 03:10 pm Link John! I'm not sure what it is about that last photo, but I REALLY love it. It's so 60's. Crappy camera, perhaps, but nice work Oct 23 06 03:12 pm Link Long term storage..I just keep extra harddrives in a cool place..I try to get god prints of the stuff I love and have them framed, with UV glass covering to keep the sun or indirect light from fading them. I wonder if I can save the old ones with some PS? Hmmmmm.. Theres a thought.. Oct 24 06 01:13 am Link Back when I was a Nikon guy... Was very nervous taking the shot. My little P&S on a giant tripod. -PKD Oct 24 06 01:23 am Link |
