Can someone explain to me the abbreviation of 'recky' ?

I know it means "to scout for location's" but what is 'recky' an abbreviation for ?

Thanks smile

Thanks for that I had heard that explanation before but thought there might have been more to it. I guess the work 'recky' is like a slang term.

I worked in NATO for a while and the Brits used this as slang for the above mentioned.  I believe Aussies do as well.

recky is not a term, 'recon' is, but 'scout' is a better one.  you would do a recon after a scout.
