Looking for Fetish Photography Inspiration...?
So im a short specialty model. Not much money in that realy. And i know this. However there seems to be more of a place for me in the more fetishy sort of looks and i think doing some of that(some.not all.I rather not be a one trick pony lol)could actualy be some fun! However, i realy dont like the cheaply done fetish photos..I adore work like you see in harpers bazaar and vogue..the quality and edgyness but id love to see it turned into something more alternative and sensual..So im looking for very polished vibrant photographers and models who do fetish work to get some inspiration from. Soooo id be your buddy if you could link me up to some realy polished great photos that are more along the line of alternative fetish or sensual..Doenst have to be only latex(pfh, like i could afford that stuff) but u get the idea^_^ Oct 20 06 09:29 pm Link For high end stuff, I'd look up Helmut Newton. He was the master. I remember you - you do lots of self portraits. I really like your work. If I'm understanding what you're describing correctly, that is. Oct 20 06 10:05 pm Link Shyly wrote: Ehhh kind of and hes a name i know of already *nodnod*Thank u though! Oct 20 06 10:07 pm Link (Holds up a Hand) Scuse me. Were you looking for something? Oct 20 06 10:24 pm Link ShadowCrafter wrote: Im afraid your work is not the style im realy seeking mon ami Oct 20 06 10:26 pm Link Did you get your anal-fur tail yet?... and have you developed your theme for that? I actually like your description of what you are seeking very much. I think the problem is that kinks vary widely and most fetish is niche fetish and they are a motley list of mutually exclusive subsets. It's not easy to define a broad market for universal fetish. It might be best to make up your own from scratch, then your fans can subscribe to that and join you. In terms of general market approach, I think your style of sexy that's between real and manga is a good one. Sexy anime, in the realm of digital imagery & Internet. Another broad market of mild erotica is the mass of romance novels out there. Another might be to read through some ribald classics, and put them to photo themes. Random thoughts. It' possible to be artistic and provocative, with rich lighting and composition. Oct 20 06 10:49 pm Link Keep on doing what your heart pleases. You're terribly creative, and the most successful people are the ones who just do whatever they want to do. Oct 20 06 10:52 pm Link Stephen Melvin wrote: No offense while i always will do what my heart pleases, i do need to catore here and there to the market and its desires . Iv never once made a penny off of what iv done till*peeks* this week actualy. LoL And im feeling rather industrious lately , i love having goals but i love meeting my goals even more! LoL Oct 20 06 10:57 pm Link I don't have a specific suggestion for you I'm afraid, but I thought this was as a good a place as any to tell you that I really admire your work. I did a couple very light fetish pics in my last shoot... kind of a bride torture thing but I'm not a fetish photographer (or much of an anything photographer) per se. Oct 20 06 11:25 pm Link Iâd say contact any of the designers you like and ask them if they want you to model for them. Oct 21 06 12:02 am Link I'm working with a designer who's looking for someone like you, unfortunately Kelowna isn't a huge city. Oct 21 06 12:12 am Link Craig Thomson wrote: Well i normaly agree but i assume that the larger more industriouse lines have the ability to find what they need around them since more ppl are eager to work with them.Where as smaller new palces, reguardless of location, are more like "ohhhh shes an asset to us we are luck to have her!" lmfao well not like that but you get what i mean( i hope) Oct 21 06 12:25 am Link Kassandra wrote: Whenever I make it over there we'll have to get in touch! Lithium Picnic, of course, which you already know about. Erotique Digitale, which is Kelly Michael Charles Lind (photographer) and Alex LaMarshmakeup/hair. (The ErotiqueDigitale.com site is definitely in-your-face-adult; the others are less so.) I don't know if it's the (or a) direction you had in mind, but check out Lee Higgs. Very unusual work. There are lots of good emerging fetish photographers there. Also check out the photo credits of established fetish models like: Kumi ( she already left you a comment ), Emily Marilyn and Apnea. Developing a relationship with designers is the toughest part. Good wardrobe cost a lot of money and is an investment you have to make when you are starting out to create your image. If you develop a relatonship with them though they can help you realize some amazing imagery, sometimes on very short notice. I had one designer custom make me an outfit on 4 days notice. Oct 21 06 05:35 am Link Harry Lew wrote: not sure i ever came across one ever, nor a memorial one Oct 21 06 05:55 am Link Thanks Kumi. I am big fan of your work. It has been interesting to see you progress from a model only known in a small community to a well established international fetish model. Who do you consider to be the best shibari rigger in North America? I am looking to take some courses next year. Did you ever finish you teaching degree? I remember you stressing about it in one of your journal entries years ago. Oct 21 06 06:05 am Link |
