I still use film occasionally (TMAX 100), but mostly now digital. I have a Canon EOS 5D and shoot raw images. I do a lot of photo shoots, and have four 500-Gig hard drives completely full now (really two...each drive has a duplicate for backup).

Storage is becoming a serious issue...anyone else have this problem?

this is a issue we face , and we all deal with it diffrent.   i like film scans because i only need to store the images i want most.  i only have 100 gigs of pictures stored on my hard drive.   i have a few thousand gigs on cd and yes i have had to have complete rolls rescanned because old cds would not read anymore.  get the best cd,s you can.    always label a copies a   ( b )  image or a    ( copy ) so you dont erase an original.
