I dug up this list I made to copy/paste into an email discussion with a model that'd gotten well off the subject of our "upcoming shoot".  Hadn't seen it in a long time...

I ran out of numbers (trying to keep to a single digit)... but, am I missing any important steps???  Have fun with it!

How to become a Professional Photographer ($29.95 +S&H)

0) Buy a camera, one with removable lenses if possible, and a webcam
1) Buy 2 strobes and a backdrop (substitute bed-sheet if out of cash)
2) Make room in basement, set strobes as picture in book & never move
3) Make sure there's enough light for the webcam in the "changing area"
4) Write contract very vague to give you video rights "just in case"
5) Find girls (models?), as many as possible (online, the mall, ???)
6) Get girls to come home with you... errr... to your studio
7) Get girl to take off as much of her clothes as possible (added bonus!)
8) Pose girl in front of a canvas
9) Close mouth, stop drooling (it's bad for the camera), quit staring
A) Shoot shoot shoot!!! (Ask her to change position at least once)
B) Offer to do a 2nd shoot; maybe "nude" this time (artistic of course!)
C) Oops - check her ID!!! (Delete webcam recording if necessary)
D) Send her every pic on CD, including the ones with the len-cap still on
E) List every model you shot in you online bio
F) Once your "model list" gets big - you're a professional!

(Hexadecimal counting system, but hey, I'm an engineer after-all!)

I knew there was a reason I needed a third strobe.

Wait. I can use my pop-up camera flash!

And for some reason this topic seems awful familiar. Kind of like we've talked about it at some time in the past. I just can't put my finger on it.

All that, or just register with MM and say in your bio that you are an artist and this is your "vision".
