A photographer friend from San Fran sent this to me and it cracked me up. This seems as true a generalization as anything I have read in a while and certainly does match many here on MM. Let us all know if this has been any of your experiences.

I'm a model on craigslist.

I'm beautiful, talented, creative and artistic. You'd be blessed if you
ever get to shoot with me.

I post here looking for photographers. Please send me a long, detailed
email about your intentions, working style, ideas, etc. Don't forget to
include samples of your work that I won't be able to open, and links to
your website that I won't be able to access.

I'll write back telling you how great you are, how much I love your
work and how I'm dying to work with you.

You'll email trying to set-up a shoot. I'll respond with a narrow
window of availability, or that I'm going on vacation or moving to LA.
If we do set-up a shoot, I'll arrive late, or unprepared or not at all,
without even phoning to let you know. If we do shoot, I'll complain
about the images, because you made me look fat or ugly, and I'm not!

I'm a model on craigslist. Want to shoot with me?

meanwhile in Pittsburgh, we've got:

"Looking for nice body female models.
Dress and undress type of photography.

This is NOT requirement but if you not comfortable with nude photography I don't want to work with you; you not a model by any means."

Sounds right and very funny. Fortunately, I haven't had to look there for new talented models.

Every once in a while I do come across sarcastic ads like that on Craigslist.  smile

I just recently saw a CL ad about how Destination World Modeling (in New York) is a scam.  I almost made an appointment with them a while ago.
