*Need everyones help for an idea*
I'm trying to shoot a more "edgy" look... like punk-rockish I was wondering if you guys had any ideas for poses ect... If you have pictures that would be great! Thanks guys! Oct 12 06 01:21 pm Link like this Oct 12 06 01:23 pm Link Thats cool. Start out by defining punk. Anti establishment, home made or home altered clothing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punk_ideology If you want this to translate well, you may want to try putting it in a culture. Next to an older couple. In a nice restaurant. Next to a benz, defacing or preparing to deface it. - Don't get thrown in Jail. Wardrobe and makup will be a must. Replace smile with snare. Maybe grab a guitar. It can be seen in swimwear, casual, lingerie...hell, even nude. The wardrobe is what gives it a punk rockerish vibe. Jeska Vardinski has a punk edge to her, look her up if you want to see shots in that vein. She's got some killer poses, too. *remember not to copy, though....it's okay to use someone for inspiration, but don't try to re-do their shots* Oct 12 06 01:31 pm Link KatieK wrote: that's what I'm trying to do (get some inspiration) Oct 12 06 01:41 pm Link Go rent SLC punk, and Sid & Nancy watch those two movies that will give you lots of ideas. Good luck. One of the more successful girls I can think of is Christina Dolce who was in Playboy last month...a damn fine girl and a damn hot spread...lol. She's on myspace: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu … ndID=14470 Good luck! Oct 12 06 02:10 pm Link oh yea I know who you are talking about (she's my "friend") haha.. yea I like her look she's very sexy Oct 12 06 02:16 pm Link I don't know if I would consider that photo "punk" more glam... The misfits are playing in the City this weekend. Come on up, you can hang with some real punks, take in a show, and we can shoot... Oct 12 06 02:19 pm Link One of the models in my photos is going for the same look, but havent done another shoot with her since we got together earlier Oct 12 06 02:32 pm Link Yes!!! 50 posts, 1/20 of the way to my tee shirt! Oct 12 06 02:33 pm Link that pic isnt really punk rock at all....its glam.....punk is really a lot of layers, uneven torn clothing (not perfetly ripped bought at the horrible store hot topic crap), pyramid spikes, long spikes, look at goth/punk club web sites and places like that for a true feel to it. too many times ive seen people say theyre doing "punk" and it makes our scene laugh. punk is not perfect, punk is not store bought..its a creative do it yourself screw you society look. if you dont know what its about and you dont care to learn then my suggestion would be avoid trying, youll only get laughed out by the true punks in this world.
