Thats cool.
Start out by defining punk.  Anti establishment, home made or home altered clothing.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punk_ideology

If you want this to translate well, you may want to try putting it in a culture.  Next to an older couple. In a nice restaurant.  Next to a benz, defacing or preparing to deface it. - Don't get thrown in Jail.

Wardrobe and makup will be a must.  Replace smile with snare.  Maybe grab a guitar.

well there you go...looks like you are doing fine in the reasearch....plus the term "edgy" is different to different people so you would probably be best to do your own research to find what is right for you

The shot you show is a pretty common pose.  It can be seen in swimwear, casual, lingerie...hell, even nude.  The wardrobe is what gives it a punk rockerish vibe.

Jeska Vardinski has a punk edge to her, look her up if you want to see shots in that vein.  She's got some killer poses, too.

*remember not to copy, though....it's okay to use someone for inspiration, but don't try to re-do their shots*

BTW,those are my guitars(wink)if interested

and a little fashion iggy
a jeanskirt with ripped pantyhose would be killer(and big teazed hair,again for the hair,look at the Maxine pics in my profile}
I might be a bit more metal, but rocker look to me is all the same

Hmmm, I would recommend looking through portfolios and contacting people who shoot that look!  One of the more successful girls I can think of is Christina Dolce who was in Playboy last month...a damn fine girl and a damn hot spread...lol.  She's on myspace:  http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu … ndID=14470

Good luck!

I don't know if I would consider that photo "punk" more glam...

The misfits are playing in the City this weekend.  Come on up, you can hang with some real punks, take in a show, and we can shoot...

that pic isnt really punk rock at all....its glam.....punk is really a lot of layers, uneven torn clothing (not perfetly ripped bought at the horrible store hot topic crap), pyramid spikes, long spikes, look at goth/punk club web sites and places like that for a true feel to it.  too many times ive seen people say theyre doing "punk" and it makes our scene laugh.  punk is not perfect, punk is not store bought..its a creative do it yourself screw you society look.  if you dont know what its about and you dont care to learn then my suggestion would be avoid trying, youll only get laughed out by the true punks in this world.

That shot looks pussycat dollish--as in pseudo burlesque, catty, trashy, Hollywood blvd, streetwalker, corporate approved alternative, look-but don't-touch, box store "edgy" to me.  NOT punk.

Agreed. Totally not punk.

She doesn't look like it in this photo: https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pid=725775

But this woman is TOTALLY punk. I'll look for more images of her. Oh and http://www.myspace.com/ianalish is a model I work with who is VERY punk.
