How about listing a short list of your favourite models/photographers here at MM that you have worked with and a short few words about why they are your favourites. No bashing or mud slinging, take that somewhere else.

Smart, sexy and knows how to BRING IT for the camera without instruction.  Plus she's ALWAYS on time.

AJ - MM#162861:  Very hard working, dedicated.  Reliable.  Beautiful obviously.  The first real model I actually shot with and have done lots of shoots with her... my "guinea pig" as she put it lol.  But she is truly an awesome person in general, not just an awesome model.

edit:  duh, also my current avatar image is her lol

Some photographers whose work is currently in my portfolio:

BLoPhoto #8487 - Intelligent about his craft in multiple genres, very fun guy to work and talk with. Will work very hard to get good images. He even shot me when he was so sick he could barely stand up.

Athen Grey #56410 - This guy is amazing not only with photography, but he can also do hair, mu, and styling. He's not afraid to roll around in the dirt to get the right angle. Very passionate about his art.

Here's my list and it grows each week. (from my bio)

* Jessi Frances (MM#186803) - Jessi has a great attitude. I had an absolute blast working with her. Jessi's not uptight and she's willing to go above and beyond for a great shot. If you ever have the chance to work with her, make sure you order a pizza. Just trust me. You'll like what she does.

* Kalen B (MM#107939) - WOW! WOW! WOW! Fantastic body, amazing attitude, and she was willing to put up with my shit. She was on time and showed up ready to work. A bit shy at first, but she warmed up quite nicely after a few minutes. I can't wait to shoot with Kalen again. "I need a place to spit."

* Jessica Jill (MM#102226) - Book her! Book her now! Jessica really goes the extra mile to get the shot you need. She follows direction well. And she has a ton of ideas of her own. Jessica has a fantastic figure that is simply to-die-for. She has a crocodile smile, and a killer personality to boot. Fuck professionalism. This chick is just too damn SMOKIN' HOT! What's a man to do? On second thought, nevermind. Don't book her. I'm keeping Jessica all to myself! Anyhow. She hates artichokes. But she loves tequila. W.A.S.P.

* Melany Wells (MM#110458) - Well, slap my ass and call me Judy! Melany is a true professional but she definitely goes out of her way to make a fun shoot. Wax the ass. And don't worry. The good stuff ain't showin. I promise. Now lets go streaking! wink

* Anessa (MM#138696) - Anessa is a no-nonsense model. She shows up prepared and ready to work. Even though it was hotter than hell on both of our shoots together, I think we were able to come up with a few really cool shots. Thank you Anessa for being so patient with your CD. The double exposure shots are definitely some of my favorites.

* Tiffany Rose (MM#102571) - Tiffany takes direction exceptionally well and was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was open to my ideas and even had some of her own. Tiffany can dish it out as well as she can take it.

* Heather Marston (MM#24106) - Heather was one of the first models I ever flew in from out of town. She made me a true believer that you can successfully work with out of state models.

* Brandy (MM#2450) - What can be said about Brandy that you all don't already know. I have shot with her more than I have with any other model. We have an incredible history together that I'll never forget. She even witnessed me clean the toilet with my former roommate's toothbrush. "JOHN!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU JUST DID THAT!" Trust me. He deserved it.

* Miya (MM#2802) - We never did actually shoot together. But we have attempted it several times. Miya will forever be known for introducing me to food from India. That was some weird shit. And for what it's worth, my pants WERE around my ankles at the table.

* Tiger (MM#1317) - Never shot with her either. But she has slept on my couch on two occasions. She loves my parrots, she killed my dog, and she broke my car.

* Lady Bronze (MM#13444) - One of the most bizarre projects I have ever worked on. Covered head to toe in barbecue sauce, Miss Bronze took the abuse with a smile. The most fun I've had shooting in a long time. She is certainly on my top 10 list.

* Heather Beckham (MM#80545) - At a time when I was mostly shooting on location, Heather brought me back into the studio. That was refreshing for a change. Heather inspired me to do a lot more studio shooting and she showed me just how easily my livingroom can, in fact, be converted into one.

* Sara Donaven (MM#5372) - Sara, the gem from Wisconsin. Some of my all time sexiest work came from this classy lady. From Jerome to Apache Junction, she was a pleasure. Up at 7AM and no bitching about it to be heard. But she does snore when she sleeps in the car.

* Cali-Luv (MM#19545) - July 2005. I drive to Orange County with shoots lined up with several different models out there. Cali was the only one to show up. This time, instead of 7AM it was 5AM. She showed up on time with a smile and ready to work. It was a nude shoot on the rocks at Corona Del Mar. She was escorted by her mom. So, here we are and Cali's buck naked on some rocks. I'm snapping away and everything is going great when all of a sudden Mom's head pops up over a rock and exclaims, "I found some great rocks for the dogs to chew on!" That's a classic!

* Megan Reilly (MM#57267) - This young lady has a lot of potential. We spent the entire day shooting in downtown Phoenix. The only unfortunate thing was that I thought the hootin' and hollerin' by passersby were for me. Apparently they weren't.

* Erin Maupin (MM#12554) - So she stands up to get out of the waterfall and I look and she's got leeches all over her ass! "Don't worry. I'll get them off of you." What a trooper!

* Nerlande (MM#3027) - All the way from NYC to shoot with me? You bet your sweet ass! Long story short: "You want some pancakes with that butter?"

* Sabina (MM#33030) - We pull up to the Bank of America building. It's broad daylight. She strips down to her bikini and climbs into the water fountain. Snap Snap Snap and we're outa there! But not before a crowd of about 50 onlookers start to gather and begin cheering, jeering and gasping. Here come's security. We're gone! Now that's what I call shoot and run!

* Dark Desire (MM#774) - I've gotten some of my most unique artistic work from this lovely gal. She's become a great friend and will always be on the top of my highly recommended list. Oh, DD and I have got our stories to tell. But you'll never hear them from me! wink

Every model I've worked with on Model Mayhem has been awesome:

In order:

- StefanieXXX (#81122): I met through a local group shoot done here by Rocky Ferguson (I think he's on here, too.. Do a browse.)  She's gone on to do incredible work..  Much with the wowness..

- Stacy's (#48496) the bomb..  She worked with me in my studio for the very first time.. She was patient with my bumbling and just an awesome person to work with.. I've worked with her twice.. And she keeps surprising me every time I see her.. (Hopefully, that will be soon..)

- Eva Stefania (#40276) is the personification of professionalism.  (And a hell of a lot of fun to boot).. She drove 3 hours from LA to work with me and didn't miss a beat.  If you ever have the chance to work with her as a model or a make up artist, you won't be dissappointed!

- Rachel Joanyi (#134400) was sweet, eager and a joy to work with.  (And I'll duck and run here because I kind of promised her a second shoot and never delivered..)

- If you don't already know who Kat Love (#55443) is, you're just not a real MMer.. She is the kind of model that can make a photographer's port..  It's sad that you can just point your camera at her, click, and get wonderful photos, because it makes you feel like you're not really doing your job.. But she's that good.

- Iona Lynn (#44684).. Do I even have to say it?  Think of a pose she can't do.. I dare you..  You'll melt your brain..

- EllaElin (#101612).. Sweet, polite.. Classic Irish beauty..  Go look at her stuff.. It'll charm the socks off of you..

And that's just the MM models... =p

Of the models I've worked with since joining MM these are my favorites:

Models I've worked with since coming to MM:
MM# 124480 (Nicotine) x 3
MM#? (Jayla)
MM# 144558 (Stella Marie)
MM# 125143 (Iana) x 2
MM# 122103 (Faeawynn)
MM# 98134 (Phoebe I)
MM# 121607 (Astraea) x 2
MM# 18001 (Safira Angel) x 2
MM# 69208 (Nexis) x 3

This weekend in fact I'm working with Astraea and Fae again as well as some new ones. It's too bad Phoebe's out of town or I would be working with her too. She's fantastic. Highly recommend her and all the others I've posted here. They're timely, quick to make sure a shot will look it's best, and just generally bring good moods to the set. Nicotine moved to Virginia (near the DC area), if you're out there I recommend hiring her. Stella's in the Bay Area and also quite the pro. Nexis moved to Florida, but she's gorgeous as well and has a lot of innocence to share in her shots. I should add Foxie Moxie ... she's a great dancer and can do work on silks as well. Great stuff for the out of ordinary. She's also in the Bay Area...

I like having a thread that's about the good things we can say about people we have worked with. And the others I've worked with are good too...just these ones stick out in my mind. We'll see how this Sunday goes and next week in San Jose. I'll have more to add then, I have no doubt. :-)

Great idea for a thread. And even though I've seen links that indicate it's been done before...it's still nice to resurrect the positive. I haven't worked with a lot of MM models but I'll give kudos from another perspective...

I've been very impressed with model's opinions and comments in the threads, shoutbox, messages, etc. It's a small way of determining some degree of the model's personality, opinions and professionalism and I could build a list of models that have impressed me in that way (models that I wouldn't have otherwise known about). And nothing impresses me more than when a model communicates well (and some sarcasm helps also)...even beyond the "look" of the model. So...to all those models I give kudos.

How's that for diplomacy?

Good idea.
Though I'd rather send a referral directly to a model to use as she wishes, and had done that a number of times on OMP. Be nice if MM had a direct way to compliment/rate a model/photog's work that someone worked with.  Tags dissappear from view pretty quickly, but are a useful alternative.

Oh where to start... smile
If you look at my port you might think that it is a second one for Heather Elizabeth MM 82205, I love shooting with Heather and to think that we have gotten as many good pictures from our 3 shoots but the total time shooting has been less than 5 hours is amazing.
Next on my list is a new model that I just finished my 4 shoot with in 2 weeks... Mellyisa17 MM 217958. Her desire to learn is fantastic and she is a joy to work with.
Susan Hill MM 3537 is a joy to work with and she got me my second cover on Go Detroit, which leads me to Chandra Hudson MM 145067. She got me my first cover of Go Detroit and that gave me a lot of creditability with models here.
One of the most fun and definitely beautiful models has to be Joylnn MM 207620. What a joy to work with.. Can't wait to shoot with her again.
Without a doubt the best I have ever shot was just the other day when I was able to shoot with Tavia Spizer MM 3668. Man can she poise... (I need to get off MM and get back to editing stuff of her...)

last, but not least on my list is Nikkita8402 MM 196336... Nicole has a mouth that would make a sailer blush smile but desires to learn more and is also a fantastic MUA.
