Wow....I'm not sure what to say about that.

He comes across as ignorant and bitter.  Maybe he's a disgruntled GWC.  LOL

I don't see how he can make those claims about the use of a computer and the internet for business and networking purposes in the information/technology age.  I think it's great to use any tools at your disposal.

Hate to admit it, but a lot of what he says is true.
Although his site and work doesn't match his philosophy.

And all the modern artist movement is just a worthless fad and it will never become anything. Just a bunch of no-talent painters pretending to be artist. Take this Picassos fellow, without a doubt, worst of the lot. I doubt his paintings will ever cover anything more then the walls of outhouses.

i didn't see anything written about modelmayhem.  the source photo for the link to his internet modeling diatribe said modelmayhem, but the only internet modeling site he mentioned was onemodelplace.

if that isn't bait and switch i don't know what is...

Sounds like another one of those waaah waaah waah rants about amateur internet photographers and models by some washed-up or wanna-be marginal "pro" photographer who can only feel better about his situation by trying to rain crap down on someone else. Gosh, I don't know how many times we've seen that thread (pretty much word-for-word) here on MM. Nothing new here. Move on.

See, and I thought their writer was talking about the spiritual dimension of working with models from MM.  The exhilaration.  The sublimity.  The distraction from arguments about Photoshop versus "straight from the camera" shots.

The "article" there also doesn't appear to know the difference between the Internet and an internet.

-- rick

P.S. Of course, I also thought you were trying to trick me into viewing a Realty website at first, too.  So what do I know?

For more info about the Movingreality.com scam, check out:
https://www.modelmayhem.com/posts.php?thread_id=52613

Movingreality.com claimed to be representing MANY models and photographers, and would create portfolios using their copyrighted photos and information WITHOUT the knowledge or consent of the photographers and models involved.

Another interesting detail - the personal information contains this detail:
Gender: Male
Status: Single
Age: 28
Sign: Leo

City: Los Angeles
State: CALIFORNIA

Country: US

But the phone number on the website is in Georgia.  DUH!!!!!!!!

No business address either. What's he got to hide; and who is he hiding it from?

No I am just trying to inform people here, as I just found out other people on this site were aware that they used their images with out consent, and took action. But the guy keeps advertising and stealing other people work to represent his and is trying to make money off of other people stuff.

But hey, this guy is a real internet sluggo. He even has a My Space page and copies casting or makes them up. I guess this makes him an advanced sluggo.

But why do they have pics on there that don't belong to them?  I went to the page and they have Ed Burns' avatar and a pic of Mary Alejo along with some others of celebrities.  I hope no one ever gives them money.

Maybe they learn to appreciate Motown and Afros?

Makes sense, since Mr. Sluggo is portrayed as an African American:

Not to mention the fact that to be an agency you need to be registered with your local state govn't (well.. in some states at least).

Oh.. and the fact that if Stuff Magazing saw his use of MySpace and their cover to attract models would be considered as non-fair use...

etc.. etc..

Just write the word "Smacktard" on a sticky note and put it on your monitor everytimg you see his name mentioned.  I have a lot of sticky notes on my monitor.  sad
