Why do Photog. only want nude pics or no escorts?
I don't understand. I should feel safe with bringing along a friend. And since it's the first time meeting them why should I have to shoot nude? Oct 01 06 11:28 am Link You (or your wife I guess) might want to read this: https://www.modelmayhem.com/posts.php?thread_id=27501 Just my opinion, the topic doesn't really warrant a new thread. DFS Oct 01 06 11:32 am Link Aloha well it is up to you on what you shoot. me personally i only shoot nude to semi nudes unless paid. So do what you want and that is that. There are allot of photographers out there who would love to work with you and give you what you want. And as far as an escort better to bring a girl than a guy. We as photographers like to feel safe as much as you do. But that is just my opinion on that. Just look at the persons work and then decide if you want to work with him. And do a background check ie reference check people he or she worked with. Well hope that helped a little take care and god bless. Oct 01 06 11:38 am Link Who said you "have to" model nude? You don't "have to" do anything. You will get requests for it - like anything else, say no if you don't want to do it. Oct 01 06 11:47 am Link MidnightDesire wrote: I understand. Here's how I do it. Oct 01 06 12:10 pm Link because you were born nude and thats the way all models were born. Your friend has to be nude as well. Its in the rulebook, page 56, paragraph 3.4C. Nude is in. Clothes are out. Oct 01 06 12:13 pm Link glenn usdin wrote: LMAO!!!!! Oct 01 06 12:15 pm Link MidnightDesire wrote: You don't 'have' to shoot nude. That's your choice, not the photog's. If she/he doesn't want to photograph you clothed and you don't want to shoot nude, find another photographer. There's plenty of 'em. Don't work with photographers who either cannot read or want to push you beyond what you are comfortable with. Oct 01 06 12:52 pm Link Here's why I think that nudity is so prevalent (however the fuck you spell that) on the net. 1) There are many photographers here who run small portrait studios. They get paid by families, aspiring actresses/models, grandmothers, graduates, etc. This is their job. Most of these people are not walking into the studio and stripping down for their photos. So to shoot headshots or something boring like that for free (read TFP) that would be just more work for them which they're not getting paid for. So, if this is the stuff you want then make an appointment and come in durring business hours, pay us, and it shouldn't be a problem. On the other hand, these same photographers join communities like this to shoot the stuff that they don't normally get to shoot. The fun stuff. Often the fun stuff is more artistically inclined, often includes some sort of skin-a-bility. This doesn't seem so much like work and they're more inclined to shoot this stuff for free (read TFP) 2) The other reason nudity is so prevalent is that it is the easiest way for a photographer to make a quick buck, on the net anyway.. On the no escort issue. Many escorts are jackasses and they make the fun stuff more like a job. See above. Oct 01 06 01:06 pm Link John Jebbia wrote: I second the motion. All in favor say "Aye"! Oct 01 06 01:09 pm Link No escort? All nude! It's simple, the photographer wants to get in your pants Oct 01 06 01:13 pm Link Heather Spence wrote: You're gonna wish you never hit submit. Oct 01 06 01:15 pm Link Heather Spence wrote: That's ridiculous. I allow no escorts on nude shoots and usually not otherwise. By your twisted logic, I am then trying to get into the pants of the models I shoot nude with? Again, ridiculous! Nude models don't wear pants. Why is this type question always asked by someone with Myspace quality photos? I like how they think they can come in at age 18 or 19 and think they're gonna single-handedly change the way we've been doing things for years. No Oct 01 06 01:43 pm Link NewBoldPhoto wrote: True. But unless the "some model" is really a "some thing," which most aren't, this whole getting into a model's pants pursuit is pretty lame. There will always be perverted photographers. There will always be flaky models. Breast implants are here to stay. Escorts are a fact of life. LIVE WITH IT. Some shoot TFP, but it's not for everybody Some people like nudes, other people are offended by them. It is what it is. Beating your head against the wall about things that will never change only drives YOU slowly insane. Certain things are with us forever: death, taxes, seat belt laws, crooked politicians, people that roll through stop signs, etc. These things will not go away. Face it. You'll sleep better.
