You have to stop... Blacking out is making it hard to work!

Come back after 6pm!

Of course we are superior and I guess that makes you...inferior.

Never trust a stylist that shows up on set wearing a beret. Never. Trust me on this if nothing else.

And to answer the question: yes. At least that's what they say.

They may be. Photography can be learned...through school etc. You can't go to school to learn to styling. And if you can, I need to go.

Back to the second-hand store with them! (They like it there anyway. I probably would too if I could style vintage like they can...) How much is a used stylist worth second-hand these days?

They aren't superior...there are just a damn few on this site who think they are.  By far, the stylists I encounter in real life and actually hire understand the concept of a "group effort" with everyone being on equal footing.

No, I wanna know! Unless you were gonna say something about H&M....

and are we speaking of actual clothing stylists, or MUA?

Makeup can probably be learned... (though, I can't put on lipstick straight)
If I want my clothes to look "cool\good\decent" Pull out a look book, and dress piece by piece....and that's sad

Did you make that up?  That is perfect.  I just want to know so I can credit the right person when I quote that.  "The Pit."  Magnificent.

I don't think I copied it.   But maybe I'm a fraud.   It's hard to keep track of the voices.   That is all, for now.

But is there a more apt descriptor?

I'm the illegitimate love child of Bob Randall W.G. Rowland and Black Ricco.   We're not sure who the mother is, but DNA testing should at least determine parentage.

That is an interesting mix. One third of you questions everything. The second third constantly asks why you are here and attempts to understand this site through philosophy. The last third calls people recordists and hacks. Does this mean you argue with yourself constantly and carry on internal dialogues? Do you find yourself constantly calling Avedon a hack and then correcting yourself immediately afterwards by showing yourself proof that he is not?

And those who can't style are bookers.

BTW, good stylists, really good stylists, are golden. But... nah, nothing further need be said.
