Ya know, it probably could....
Add some electricity, and they could do fancy things like light up, have light meters, posibly have pictures, and lcds and all sorts of fancy stuff...

I like it when a camera is empowered by a chemistry that is stored in a battery - that makes it so much more portable.

Just had a battery problem caused by a dirty lens electical contact on my 80mm which was draining battery and caused 2 bodies on the same day to fail.

Sometimes I'd prefer nothing but my Hasselblad 500c/m and a Leica MP sometimes. 100% mechanical. Nothing electronic to fail at all. Jams, yes, but no sudden "this damn thing won't turn on!!!" surprises.

That sounds like the excuse the technicians come up with, when they have no idea what's really wrong smile

Could Electricity Empower cameras?

Only if you had two bodies, one being an escort for the "empowered one".

My only question, what if it was a "minor" charge, could you still legally shoot nudes with that camera?

My meter has no battery, none of my cameras have batteries, and my lightsource needs no battery.
