I don't care if a model's done porn work.  Makes absolutely no difference in my photographs.  The only time one could argue there's a difference would be if the photographer is trying to do some kind of snickering "here's the virgin undressing" sort of thing, and that's basically...uh...porn.

The model's chastity, or lack thereof, and exposure, or lack thereof, have nothing to do with the quality of the resulting photographs.  If that kind of thing is important to a photographer, one might want to question his motives.

On the flip side, I would think the same would apply to models' attitudes about photographers, with perhaps the exception that a model might believe such a photographer may wish to lure her into doing "bad things."  Maybe they do.  From my own experience, models are mostly quite willing to do "bad things" outside of porn as well.

My feeling is that if you are doing porn,  and using some of the models you contact from here  you are doing   eveyone  a disservice.   I feel that I should not be associated with this site..

i didn't think Tyler and the mods want this site to go down the porn route (I may be wrong)... it would be nice to have a few sites where porn models/photographers don't begin to take over, just because the $$$ are there.

Because we schedule a shoot with a model, are we entitled to know every aspect of her life?

Thank you!  I don't know what's up with a couple of these photographers lately who feel the need to do the "questionnaire" thing over the phone...asking a bunch of questions not even related to the shoot we are currently planning.  It's supposed to be a photo shoot, not a Tikeya W. life story...lol.

First off, I am new here on MM and all I can do is hope that coming out in the open like this will not ruin any possibilities that I may have had here with any photographers here on MM.
I have had my own adult website for over 6 years now, and I have always been upfront (but very professional and respectful) about my main line of work.
It is simple for me: I have never found anyone that will pay as well with my clothes on.
I don't see any reason to hide it either. I realize that people will make assumptions when thet find out about this, but, any open minded person is not goingto be that shallow.
I would just rather everything be out in the open ya know?

Doesn't bother me a bit. And honesty is nice.

Society changes and evolves, but there is still the faction out there that would view well over half of all the pics on MM to be pornographic in nature.  Our society at large has always repressed anything remotely dealing with sex, while in private supporting it with magazine and video purchases.  Sex is beautiful and wonderful as is the human form.  We have come very far from the times when witches were burnt at the stake for dancing in the moonlight.  As artists, let's not go backwards to the days when Lucy and Desi could not be in the same bed together even with pj's on.  Let's try and break the barrieres and bonds further by showing how true artists can bring out the true beauty of what has been repressed in our sexual nature, not for exploitation, but for beauty and artistic expression of the human soul.

Soapbox over....

A model who does nude work tends to be easier to work with when doing clothed work.  And a model who does porn tends to be easier to work with when doing art nude.

I've no idea what would make a porn model easier to work with.

We are all naked under our clothes, most of us have sex, or have sexual activitys.

I have nothing against it, i dont do it. But i think it makes no difference to a person, or what they are like, its just an act, and there is a huge market for it.
I think its a good thing. Porn is just engaging in sexual activitys but being watched, photographed or filmed. Some people want that, some people dont. I think people should just be open about it.

Lol I know several models who act better then thou and then come to find out they are in the nastiest porns. Models who like to think they are internet famous tongue

I know a of few of them myself, but I know more photographers shooting fetish and porn under false names.

I'm of the opinion that if you're embarassed for people to find out you're doing it, you shouldn't do it. Up to a point, I understand that if you have uptight commercial clients, it's bad business to let your porn work be connected to your conmmercial work. Still leaves an unpleasant taste in my mouth.

A man asks his friend if he's doing porn on the side. The friend replied, " I didn't know they moved it."

A friend of mine used to do porn-movies. Since everyone can find..um.... stuff of her when googling her name she was taking another name to start the more serious modelling. I wouldn´t do it, but I can understand it a bit.

Models are models and photographers are photographers.
who cares what the model or photog shoots porn, fashion, beauty, the Space Shuttle, whatever!
You come here to network with others, if you don't like a certain person (for whatever reason) just move to the next.
As for models who do porn, Oh well, I hire a model to work on bringing my vision to life, to create an image.  I can care less what she does on her time.
I'm not taking her home to meet my mother, I'm not going to marry her, I just want to creat an image. Period.
As long as she can provide me with what I need for my image, I don't care.

What's next? Not hire a MUA because she has done make up work for a porn video production?
