Hi everyone smile
Tonight, I updated both my photography and modeling ports with photos on the main page of each.  I am wondering if the following photo works for my modeling port:
https://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL11/1444166/10509979/169563243.jpg

I love the image, and it represents so much to me as relates to transformation (which certainly applies given my weight loss of 225 lbs).  But what is obvious in the photo are some of my scars from the reconstructive surgeries that I needed following the weight loss.

To me, the scars are no biggie - they are part of who I am.  But to a potential photographer, would most be turned away by the scars?  I can easily photoshop out the scars, but then I don't want to mislead potential photographers about how I look.  At the same time, I don't want a photographer to cast me aside not knowing that the scars could be easiy edited out.

I would love some feedback rg this as well as what photos in my port work and do not work. I will soon be needing to make more room for new photos, and any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

While your visiting, please feel free to leave a comment or two in my photos section or a tag. I'd be more than glad to exchange the favor!

Many thanks!
Caroline

I think you should leave the photos untouched so that photogs see if it is something they can work around, if they feel the need. Like you say, it is part of you. It might matter for some shots but I wouldn't have seen half of them if I hadn't been scanning just for them.

I normally edit out anything which can be hidden with excellent makeup and lighting. That means I normally take out blemishes, scars, etc. I think a port is supposed to represent the best the model can look, however one decides what "best" is.

So, IMO, you should keep a candid with the scars to send photographers by email, but edit out scars for the port.

Btw, you look great.

Caroline, you know I viewed all your photos and journey.  To me it would not matter, to many sure it would, I saw one reply and agree, keep both so a photographer can see what will be needed.  Both you and I know you are not doing Lingerie runway work.  Again you are an inspiration to many.  God Bless you.

How many times do you need to ask that question?

I can understand your frustration with my asking it again, but I am asking it in a different context.  The image in question is one that I'd like to use in my main profile page, not my photos page, and I am not sure what route I should take.  Another photog whose input I value recommended to perhaps put something else up or edit out the scars, but in a way, I want to show the transition I've made. Yet, at the same time, I don't want to "scare" people away from looking at my port further.
